What we offer

Five ways we deliver ABA therapy

Every service below is Applied Behavior Analysis, designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and built around one child's individual plan.

Center-Based ABA Therapy

One-to-one ABA therapy at our two Kissimmee centers, in structured, play-rich rooms built for learning. Your child works with a Registered Behavior Technician on a plan written and overseen by a BCBA.

In-Home ABA Therapy

The same individualized plan, delivered where your child's routines actually happen. In-home sessions target daily living skills, communication and family routines in the environment your child knows best.

Skills we target →

School-Based ABA Services

Support that follows your child into the classroom. We coordinate with teachers and school staff so the skills your child builds in therapy carry over to the school day.

How we plan it →

Behavior Assessments

Comprehensive assessments that identify what a behavior is communicating and what your child is ready to learn next. Conducted by a BCBA, each one becomes the foundation of the intervention plan and the goals we measure against.

Our approach →

Parent Training

Practical coaching so the strategies used in session keep working at home. Parent participation is built into every plan, and we teach caregivers the same techniques your child's team uses, in English or Spanish.

Why it matters →

Who works with your child

A BCBA writes the plan. An RBT delivers it.

At Happy Kiddos your child's intervention plan will be created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and implemented by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

BCBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

BCBAs are highly qualified professionals specializing in behavior analysis. They hold a graduate-level certification, typically a master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field, and have completed rigorous supervised fieldwork.

BCBAs are responsible for designing and overseeing individualized intervention plans, ensuring that each client's unique needs are met. Their expertise is crucial in developing effective strategies to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes.

When seeking behavioral services, it is essential to ensure that the professional holds BCBA certification, as indicated by the "BCBA" designation after their name.

RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Your RBT is the person your child sees most. They run the sessions, teach the skills and collect the data on every goal in the plan, working directly under the supervision of the BCBA who wrote it.

RBTs hold a nationally recognized certification and complete ongoing training and supervision. If your child's RBT changes over time, that is planned generalization support, so skills carry across different people, places and routines rather than staying tied to one therapist.

Both roles are certified, supervised and accountable to the same individualized plan.

Families first

Parent Participation is key!

Parent involvement is crucial to achieving meaningful and lasting progress in therapy. What your child learns in session has to work at the dinner table, in the car and at bedtime, and that only happens when caregivers are part of the plan from day one.

Development programs

The skills we build, one goal at a time

Three program areas that show up in nearly every plan we write, tailored to what each child needs next.

Social Skills Training

We assist clients in building meaningful interpersonal relationships by teaching:

  • Effective communication techniques
  • Understanding social cues
  • Conflict resolution strategies
  • Empathy development

Communication Skills Enhancement

Our focus is on improving both verbal and non-verbal communication through:

  • Teaches alternative ways to communicate needs
  • Encourages requesting through reinforcement
  • Guides and fades support for communication
  • Promotes natural, spontaneous language use

Functional and Independence Skills Development

We support clients in mastering daily living skills by providing guidance in:

  • Personal hygiene routines
  • Problem Solving
  • Dressing
  • Eating
Behavior reduction

Understanding a behavior before changing it

Challenging behavior is communication. We find out what it is telling us, then teach a safer, clearer way to say it.

We employ evidence-based strategies to identify and reduce challenging behaviors by:

  • Conducting comprehensive behavior assessments
  • Developing personalized behavior intervention plans
  • Implementing positive reinforcement techniques
  • Providing ongoing monitoring and support

Every reduction goal is paired with a replacement skill, so your child is not simply asked to stop doing something. They are taught what to do instead, and the plan is adjusted as the data comes in.

Our team is Safety-Care® certified through QBS and practices crisis prevention, which means de-escalation comes first and every strategy is reviewed by the supervising BCBA.
